Empowering Global Changemakers in Annual Social Entrepreneurship Challenge

Kathmandu, December 23Hult Prize Nepal is delighted to announce the launch of its annual year-long competition, aimed at igniting innovation and motivating the next generation of global changemakers. The competition invites university students from across Nepal to develop inventive solutions to address complex challenges, emphasizing sustainable and scalable social impact, with an opportunity to secure a remarkable prize of $1 million.

Kathmandu, December 23 – The Hult Prize, renowned for fostering entrepreneurship and addressing global challenges, announces the commencement of its highly anticipated competition. The 2024 Hult Prize revolves around the theme “UNLIMITED IMPACT.” Participants are encouraged to pitch any idea for a social enterprise, provided it addresses worldwide challenges and aligns with at least one of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

A dedicated Core Committee comprising 16 highly capable members has been selected to ensure the smooth execution of the program. This esteemed group has been officially introduced across the official social media platform of Hult Prize Nepal. Ms. Subi Kaphle will lead the initiative this year as Country Coordinator. Under her leadership, the rest of the country’s leaders are strategically divided into six departments: Public relation, marketing, events, on campus, startup, and expert. Similarly, the roles of Deputy Country Coordinators are entrusted to Mr. Sandeep Yadav and Mr. Kishor Paneru.

Hult prize Nepal 2023 has already made an impact with its first two significiant events. The campus Director Orientation, held on November 7, brought together all the campus directors for a purposeful gathering. Additionally, a team building session featuring guest speaker Suraj Raj Pandey, CEO at FiBRO, took place on December 7. Over 200 attendees participated in these events. 

With this accomplished team, Hult prize Nepal is committed for a year of impactful initiatives and collaborative success. About HULT PRIZE : The Hult Prize is an annual, yearlong competition for university students where students present solutions to significant social and global issues such as food security, water accessibility, energy, and education. The competition is named in honor of Bertil Hult, and often referred to as the “Nobel Prize for students.” Annually in September, the challenge’s theme and winner are chosen by former U.S. President Bill Clinton where the winning startup receives a $1 million seed capital to launch a social enterprise and create a positive impact in the global community.
